I'm thinking about installing a flowmaster muffler on my 2003 Malibu, but I need to know if I also have to change the catalytic converter or can I get by with only installing the new muffler. I want the Malibu to have a more aggressive sound to it without having to change too many parts.

I dont see any problem with a flowmaster on there. You dont have to worry about the catalytic convertor, has nothing to do with it.
