I have a 1998 F250 light duty 4x4 with the 5.4 Triton. A few months ago, the plug blew out of the head. Needless to say, it stripped some of the threads. We tried retapping the threads but it didn't work so we put some lock-tight on a new plug and turned it as much as we could (about 1 1/2 turns). My question is, do I have to go and get a new head for my truck, can I JB Weld a plug in the head, or any other suggestions??? If a head replacement is suggested, anybody have any idea how much that's going to run?? :crying:
