Finished: Fujimi Skyline 350GTVeyron 01-06-2004, 05:07 PM A pretty nice kit overall yet very simple. As ZoomZoom pointed out they got the rise down the center of the hood a little higher than should be. I painted it Modeler's Pearpl Blue, that's the way they spell it as they combine pearl and purple. The paint appears to be blue with purple pearl in it. I clear coated with TS13 Tamiya Clear and painted the interior with acrylic cream accented with a caramel color. I painted the grill with acrylic semi gloss black then rubbed the black off the raised areas with a toothpick after paint dried. I ride hight was too high so I lowered it about 3/16", otherwise it is box stock except for the Tamiya Nissan metal tranfer emblem on the trunk. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/40503g351-med.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/40503g352-med.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/40503g355-med.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/40503g354-med.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/40503g353.JPG DSM-Mark 01-06-2004, 05:16 PM Fabulous!!!! ratdat 01-06-2004, 05:19 PM Very, very nice build. :bigthumb: Great colour choice to. Have you got any pictures of the interior? I think I prefer the rear styling of this car to the 350Z. I wonder if it's possible to chop and joint a 350Z and a 350GT? Vric 01-06-2004, 05:49 PM look really good i'm in the process to get one (well not sure yet) is the windows and clear part fit correctly ? I hade some problem with fujimi kit and lights and windows not fitting corectly. fwdfreak 01-06-2004, 05:55 PM Very elegant! Nice build man :evillol: Layla's Keeper 01-06-2004, 05:57 PM http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/40503g353.JPG I like this picture. It looks like it was lifted straight out of a Nissan sales brochure. The car looks practically real, Veyron. Good show! Hiroboy 01-06-2004, 06:04 PM Very Nice, A very basic kit but it look so cool finished. I'm in the process of painting mine at the moment (Pearl white) (only came yesterday). The door mirror are a bit of a let down don't you think, they stand off the car more in real life, like the 350Z. Did you open up the vents at the front (i'm doing that) but it requires mods to the mounting brackets. Nice touch with the front grill. :) Veyron 01-06-2004, 06:21 PM Have you got any pictures of the interior? Sorry, no interior pics. is the windows and clear part fit correctly ? I hade some problem with fujimi kit and lights and windows not fitting corectly. Clear parts fit perfectly, windows are a little blurry, Fujimi has never made a good clear, clear part without swirl marks etc. The door mirror are a bit of a let down don't you think, they stand off the car more in real life, like the 350Z. The triangular part of the side mirrors needs to be reduced in size by sanding the edges. I did not open any vents, that would look better though, my aim was to build it quick and stock. Will build the NISMO version later. Thanks, guys! kunta 01-06-2004, 06:25 PM That is very beautiful color and smooth build. I'd like to try that color some day. Great work as always! Vric 01-06-2004, 06:26 PM thanks for reply, this one goes on my list ! tonioseven 01-06-2004, 07:34 PM Beautiful!! I would love to see yours and Osamu's side by side!! Nice colour and nice finish. Jay! 01-06-2004, 08:45 PM Looks great, especially the front grill. I noticed a 'deviation' on kunta's 350GT, and when I saw the same on yours, I looked up the instruction on Hobby Search... Fujimi seems to have omitted the detail of leaving a circle of clear when painting clear red on the center-most part of the taillight for the reverse-indicator. http://www.roadandtrack.com/images/rt_images/2002/november/2002_11_g35_taillight.jpg Just for future reference... ;) CADguy 01-06-2004, 09:38 PM Beautiful car. You chose the perfect classy color for this car. I like the way the grill and headlights look very Mercedes-ish in the first pic. Very nice. jswillmon 01-06-2004, 11:11 PM Top notch job WeaPoN [X] 01-06-2004, 11:18 PM Flawless, Looks like pics of a 1/1. I got one of those on the way too. If I can make it half as good as that, Ill be happy. JeFF flyonthewall 01-07-2004, 07:12 AM Great build Brian EMAXX 01-07-2004, 09:13 AM Looks very good. Awesome work with the car, and nice job with the paint. I really have to get one of these. It's starting to grow on me. v3rs3 01-07-2004, 10:07 AM Very nice build. Where did you get this kit at? ZoomZoomMX-5 01-07-2004, 10:09 AM Looks good, this is one of those kits I want to have stock like this, and then something a bit spicier as well. :naughty: I might have to do my stock one in red. It's fun to do a simple kit like this every now and then, this one almost seems bland by comparison to what you are usually building. I know the same thing happens to me-my white Celica GT is a prime example, it's pretty bland but I still like it (and it will become an Ultimate Celica if ever SAS sells a kit of it). Looks like the sharpie trick on the headlights might be better accomplished w/a silver sharpie? Valentino 01-07-2004, 12:45 PM Once again amazing job Veyron  Andy Jones 01-07-2004, 02:53 PM Very sweet build   SCUDERIA-FERRARI 01-07-2004, 03:16 PM Gorgeous ! willimo 01-07-2004, 03:29 PM Your model looks magnificent. Is it me or are the kit headlamps a little rounder and pointier at the top than the prototype? Also, how are the taillamps? I really like the car and how it has the two round buckets behind a single red lense. Does the Fujimi kit address this well? Does anyone have a picture of the taillamps before completion? I am very curious about it, I think that's what makes the car, and if the kit does it well it might be worth coming home in my next HLJ order. Again, sorry to inundate you with questions. Your model is great, great color choice and I love the elegance this car has stock. It's a bizarre departure from Skylines of old, but wonderful nontheless. You've captured the feel of the car perfectly. Veyron 01-07-2004, 03:48 PM I think the tail lights look very realistic. http://www.infinite1der.org/~dino/g35light.JPG Blowncivic1320 01-07-2004, 05:39 PM Looks real hot, Great Job man Forhod 01-07-2004, 05:47 PM Really nice!! SpoonMan Dos 01-07-2004, 06:13 PM That is one smoking model. 350GTs Rule! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
