Im wondering if any one has seen the 4000hp Integra the car is stupid fast
5sec. 250mph 1/4 mile passes any one whos seen it write back

whoa~ but can we even call that an intergra anymore? its more of a custom built car with a funny car type body of an integra. i mean look at the engine~~ thats a 4.8 liter!!! the stock B18c has only 1.8 liters. how can anyone possibly bore out the engine that much? well either way its an awesome wickedly fast car, but its built only for drag and i would hardly call that a integra anymore. its more of a top fuel dragger.

it's not a Honda motor... it's a one off custom motor based on one cylinder bank of a chevy motor.

read the article folks... the only thing "Honda" about it is the stickers...

Hell, I dont care if it is BASED on a chevy motor. The fact is a fucking 4cyl making 4,000hp is amazing. Then they say "cuz its 4.8 liters thats why" well the only reason the viper is fast is cuz its 8.0 liters.... um, yea :rolleyes:

Formula 1 engines are v10 and they rev really high.
Older turbo engines were v6 I think.

exactly...

less displacement means less torque. with less torque, you can only achieve higher HP numbers by revving higher.

turbo defeats that as it's a positive displacement power adder; it stuffs the equivalent air/fuel mix of a big motor into a smaller one.

but back to the first statement, it's got a lot of displacement, which helps it's torque and horsepower output... the turbo system makes it even higher.

so basically, the reason why a naturally aspirated viper is fast is because it displaces more... if it didnt, then it would have to rev even higher to make the same HP output, with an abysmal torque rating, or be turbocharged/supercharged.

but to make ANY motor put out a lot of power, it merely depends on it's strength. i'll make any B16A push 1000hp or more... but it wont last more than a couple seconds. also factor in the use of nitromethane... the fuel itself packs a lot more punch over gasoline.

thats why the RB series and the 2JZGTE motors are sooo wonderful.

Acutally, those are stickers, look again

the only thing that makes it an integra is the front-end integra look... everything else is so modded out... its a 4.8L engine! geeze!
