Programming Remote/security system

I just got a 1992 SC400 and it came without any remote.
Does this car use a remote (For a security system or keyless entry) and if it does where can I get them. Also once I get it how do you program the remote.

I just got my cousin's old 1992 Lexus Sc 300 that had a keyless entry that was right on the side of the master key but it stopped working and no one has the battery for it and I am stuck in your postion. So if anyone helps you with your problem e-mail me at [email protected]

i believe the dealer must get another conputer chip to match with the key/remote...very expensive...i believe it is $250 for one, $350 for 3 and like $400 for 3 of the same!!!

Yup, older Lexus cann't be reprogrammed. You have to replace the rke chip and keys.

The dealer can program the remote half, if you buy another remote key, just swap in your old key blank (the metal part) into the new key's remote head so it will fit in your ignition and locks.
