You need a scanner that works with the OBD I logic and a cable that has an OBD II (16-pin ALDL) connector. Since new cars have had OBD II for a few years I think it's getting harder to find OBD I scanners. Autoxray has a few models. If you already have the scanner the cable can be bought separately. I bought one recently for my 1994 Park Avenue and found multiple places on the internet that sell Autoxray products.
