Wheel Spacers? (Also: Thicker tires/rims?)jajimo 01-02-2004, 06:30 PM Has anyone used these before? King Motorsports has some H&R ones for sale, but I'm not sure how they look or if they're safe, etc. I'd like to make my wheels stick out JUST slightly, nothing too obnoxious. I saw a guy with like 10" rims and had his sticking almost completely out of his 93 Accord and I just thought it looked stupid as hell. Thanks! ----------------- I'd also like to replace my rims and tires some day, but I'm hoping for something larger than stock but not gigantic (i.e. 22"s). My car isn't lowered so hopefully I won't have clearance issues. I was thinking maybe 17x7.5s or 18x8s. Does anyone have either of these and pics of what they look like on their car? They can put extra strain on wheel bearings causing premature failure. Just make sure NOTHING rubs during the entire suspension travel & streering lock(front) see different wheels/sizes on your car @ www.tirerack.ccom The larger the rim gets, the shorter the sidewall gets. Those wheel spacers are usually for show cars with wide body kits or die hard racers who are allowed to push the wheels out for better center of gravity, but it DOES put more strain on the drive train and suspension components. I use a small 3mm spacer on the rear of my car since my 15x7" 45mm offset wheel hits the rear upper control arm. if you go this route you want to make sure you have at LEAST 7 full turns of your lugs for proper seating of your lugs. jajimo 01-02-2004, 11:01 PM Thanks for the info. The reason I inquired about the pics for the wheels/tires is that I would like to see the difference between 7.5s and 8s when you look at them from the front or rear of the car.
