In Progress Acura RSXAndy Jones 01-02-2004, 02:06 PM Nothing special going on with this one - box stock except that I've made the front bumper slightly deeper - I'm thinking of painting it white with a C/F Hood. Wheels are from Revell Integra with Pegasus sleeves. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/67086misc_0131-med.jpg rmg313 01-02-2004, 02:08 PM looks good im building one too mine is black just a suggestion paint it another color everyone has done on here turbo type-r 01-02-2004, 02:42 PM its hot but dem rims are not for that car ge some nice aoshimas but dats my opinion EMAXX 01-02-2004, 02:58 PM Looks good. White looks really good on the RSX. Keep us posted, and I'm sure it'll be hot, just like all your other kits. 86_SR5 01-02-2004, 03:58 PM Is this the RSX-R? White base, white gloss, pearl clear. IMO, maybe the 12spoke, 5spoke, or grey mr7 7spoke wheels would look better in those sleeves, specialy if they were white with the pearl clear. Any idea what else will be done to this? EMAXX 01-02-2004, 05:12 PM He said it's going to be basically stock, so nothing else he really can do. fujimituner235 01-02-2004, 05:34 PM looks good so far 86_SR5 01-02-2004, 06:17 PM could compliment the interior with a half cage and some racing seats. that'd be cool, and keeping it stock. tonioseven 01-02-2004, 07:06 PM Another great one on the way!! Andy Jones 01-07-2004, 03:30 PM I know I said I was going to build it basically out of the box but having used the side skirts from the Wings West Accord wagon on the RX8 I had the front bumper hanging around so I thought why not :evillol: Heres how it looks grafted on to the RSX - obviously I have a bit of putty work to do ! http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/67086rsx-med.jpg tonioseven 01-07-2004, 03:47 PM Go for it!!!:sunglasse Andy Jones 01-07-2004, 03:51 PM I will Tonio - just need to make it a bit "pointier" to follow the lines of the grille but I think some plastic card & putty should do it. drumcat 01-07-2004, 03:59 PM sweet dude i love the front bumber cant wait to see the progress  weaponCIVIC 01-07-2004, 05:36 PM looks great! i would go with no wing though..thought it gave it a cleaner look. EMAXX 01-07-2004, 06:05 PM The wing on this car looks good. Like you said, just make it a little pointy-er.lol chrismcgee 01-08-2004, 06:15 AM very cool, its kinda got a new civic look now you have squared the front off a little. i love it love it love it! cant wait to see more Andy Jones 01-09-2004, 02:52 PM Did a little bit of work on the front bumper yesterday - decided to make the opening a bit smaller so it matches the width of the grille - still a bit more filling & sanding to go yet before I'm completely happy with it. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/67086rsx_001-med.jpg ImolaEK 01-09-2004, 05:49 PM man that is looking sick...one thing would be cool though...to strech out the middle hole a bit more...on the real one its a big bigger...but nice job though mang SchuberT 01-09-2004, 06:09 PM that is so sweeeeeet gt2nv 01-09-2004, 08:44 PM This is awsome. I just tried to do a civic hood custom, i will have pictures up soon Andy Jones 02-07-2004, 12:57 PM It's about time I posted some more progress on this one but to be honest there hasn't been much happening. More filing & sanding - basically trying to make the bumper curved to make it flow better. Anyway here's where it is currently - a few small imperfections to sort out but hope to have it sprayed tomorrow (weather permitting) -paint will be orange with a white graphic. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/67086evo8_001-med.jpg tonioseven 02-07-2004, 01:00 PM Lookin' good! :sunglasse rx7king 02-07-2004, 01:15 PM that front bumber is awesome, your the man 86_SR5 02-07-2004, 01:54 PM that front bumber is awesome, your the man yup. couldn't agree more. remus_nl 02-08-2004, 02:50 AM yeah, looks fantastic can't wait to see more digitalbanzai 02-08-2004, 02:57 AM Looks interesting, surprisingly you don't see to many DC5 models AsongKar 02-08-2004, 06:26 AM adding any GT wing behind? RyanGiorgio 02-08-2004, 10:52 AM That front bumper is awesome. Keep up the good work. Andy Jones 02-08-2004, 12:28 PM Managed to get it sprayed today - colour is VW Brilliant Orange - still needs clearcoat. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/67086rsx_002-med.jpg PS/ AsongKar - I think I'll leave it wingless :naughty: EMAXX 02-08-2004, 12:30 PM Orange looks very nice on the car. Looks great so far. Keep us posted on the build. krebs128 02-08-2004, 01:58 PM looking real nice. i like how the front bumper turned out, good work. digitalbabecarol 02-08-2004, 02:40 PM didn't like the grey one, this colour makes it look pretty weird :P krebs128 02-08-2004, 02:45 PM uh, that was primer, a base coat he added before he would add the final color (orange). kind gives the final paint a fuller look, make applying the paint easier-helps it stick. digitalbabecarol 02-08-2004, 04:59 PM ops didnt notice it when it got orange :P pettercardoso 02-08-2004, 05:06 PM Wow, I love that colour! it's looking great.. subyfanatic 02-08-2004, 05:54 PM :eek7: The orange brings it all together,.. and it's not even finished! :screwy: joecwlaw 02-08-2004, 08:08 PM another masterpiece. :icon16: jgmodelcars 02-09-2004, 01:34 AM wow, that body kit looks damn nice on it! Andy Jones 02-21-2004, 10:24 AM A bit more progress - window trim sprayed, SAS c/f hood & made a start on the interior. Still waiting for the new S part Aoshima wheels so can't make final wheel choice until they arrive. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/67086evo_0011-med.jpg turbo type-r 02-21-2004, 10:36 AM the workmeister rims would look hot . that car is phanaminal Camber 02-21-2004, 11:40 AM Looks good Andy StephenDeli 02-21-2004, 12:07 PM Very Very nice. I love the color and the carbon fibre hood. One question. Who makes this kit? Andy Jones 02-21-2004, 12:18 PM Very Very nice. I love the color and the carbon fibre hood. One question. Who makes this kit? The kit I used is Fujimi Feels Interga Type R (FUJ 18642) - Fujimi do other versions - (FUJ 03538) is basically the same kit and cheaper I think. rx7king 02-21-2004, 02:59 PM wow, that color look ssweet t.vo408 02-21-2004, 10:12 PM nice! but it looks weird compared to a real rsx. (the kit, not your work) z_dutchie 02-22-2004, 11:17 AM very cool i like the color & the beautyful front bumper !!:bigthumb: Andy Jones 03-15-2004, 02:58 PM A little bit more progress - body has been clearcoated - need to leave it for a week before polishing and decided to go with grey/orange interior. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/67086rsx_0021-med.jpg ex-r 03-15-2004, 05:35 PM This is going to be another stunning car. Are the rear wheels supposed to be that far into the wheel well? turbo type-r 03-15-2004, 05:41 PM sweet dude love yer work andy Bilson8tor 03-15-2004, 07:57 PM this is gonna be sweet, are yah gonna do panel lines? Mean_B16 03-15-2004, 09:30 PM Lovin the color scheme! another sweet addition to your collection :iceslolan StephenDeli 03-15-2004, 10:23 PM Perhaps a Carbon Fiber wing to match the hood. Otherwise the car looks very sharp in that orange 86_SR5 03-15-2004, 10:34 PM the wing from the revell itr with body color sides and a cf mid piece would be sweet. fujimituner235 03-16-2004, 01:39 AM Did you decide to go gangsta style with the passenger seat or did you not glue it yet? haha Andy Jones 03-16-2004, 02:48 PM This is going to be another stunning car. Are the rear wheels supposed to be that far into the wheel well? They're just resting on the chassis plate at the moment just to get a general idea how they'll look - I haven't started the suspension (for some reason it's usually the last thing I get round to doing) Andy Jones 03-16-2004, 02:50 PM this is gonna be sweet, are yah gonna do panel lines? Will do but I need to polish the clearcoat out first. Andy Jones 03-16-2004, 02:53 PM Did you decide to go gangsta style with the passenger seat or did you not glue it yet? haha Tamiya masking tape let me down for once ! - interiors not finished yet so nothing glued down at the moment. Andy Jones 03-17-2004, 02:30 PM I was bored last night so decided to polish out the clear coat and add a few decals (I know - I should get out more :uhoh:) IMHO the shape lends itself to some type of wing so rooted around in the spares box and came up with the spare wing from the Evo viii - not sure whether to remove the central support or not and I'll have to remove the brake light - heres the pics http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/67086rsx_003-med.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/67086rsx_005-med.jpg More fuel for the wing/wingless debate :evillol: ex-r 03-17-2004, 03:35 PM It looks good with, and without the spoiler. If you keep it on, I say leave the center support. :) tpliquid 03-17-2004, 03:39 PM spoiler looks very nice on it Merkava 03-17-2004, 03:48 PM This project is really coming together! Looks great... As for the wing, leave it, but remove that silly thing in the middle. Anyway, great job so far. 86_SR5 03-17-2004, 08:33 PM Andy, is the wing just leanign back on the trunk, it looks nasty, if it were up straight keep it with the mid piece, or go clean with no wing. customminatures 03-17-2004, 08:38 PM looks awesome but i also wouldnt use that wing..........use a drag style wing, low and close to the trunk lid! fujimituner235 03-18-2004, 01:22 AM Wingless is da shit!! tonioseven 03-18-2004, 04:33 PM I actually like this one without the wing but if you leave the wing, the support piece should be removed.:) DJPaul 03-18-2004, 05:00 PM Looks great w or wo/ wing. Andy Jones 04-08-2004, 06:35 AM Interior completed - getting there slowly ! http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/67086int_004-med.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/67086int_003-med.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/67086int_001-med.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/67086int_002-med.jpg Wheels just resting on chassis as I haven't built the suspension yet Thanks for looking Andy turbo type-r 04-08-2004, 08:48 AM its finally done and i love it vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
