1991 Ford Taurus radiator leaking on the left side in the plastic. Anyone have experience repairing these types of leaks. Please recommend an adhesive.

I tried about everything and nothing seemed to work for very long because of the expansion and contraction of the plastc so i bought an after market radiator for about 110 bucks and it took about 3 hrs to replace it .

My experiance with adhesives is they last no more than 4 to 6 months. cleaning the area to be glued is the key but still it should be considered a temperary fix at best! I agree with the prevous post. look for a used or new radiator! What ever you do don't overheat your car even alittle unless you like replacing headgaskets!!!

Happened to me, epoxy won't hold it, radiator shop explained that they could put on new plastic cap but wouldn't guarantee. Like beerbomber told, shop around for an all metal radiator, can be found in most areas for about $100.

There is no easy fix for your problem, you need new radiator and it is not that hard to put it in.That is very common problem with molded ford radiators.

Plastic end caps splitting is very common with any make vehicle. Had the same problem with a Honda, get new, make sure it is all metal.
