98 s10 brake lights stuck

new user--did search with no luck
1998 S10 brake lights stuck on--assumed it was the switch, replaced it with no luck, only way to get the lights off is to remove the fuse...any ideas would be appreciated.
Also kinda weird, but normally the 4 ways will still flash with the brake on, now, since the lights are stuck, the 4 ways dont work either until i remove the brake light fuse......

:2cents: It sounds like you have a short to ground in the brake switch. You need to disconnect the connector and see if the lights are still on. If so then you have a bare wire somewhere in the switch wiring. If the lifgts turn off then you have a bad switch. You CAN get a bad part from time to time.
