Is there any way to reset the computer without taking it to the dealer. I have had a Maint Req lamp on for the longest time and now the car will not start. I would like to reset the computer to see if that helps.

You cannot reset the maint indicator light you need a scantool. You can go to any garage you trust that has snap on scanner it may be cheaper. The light however is not the cause of your starting problem it is simply a mileage reminder. Can you be more specific about he no start condition? I'm sure I can help.

Thanks for the info. I know the lamp is not the issue, it's been on forever and was just wondering if it could be turned off without special equipment.

The car wont start is from my previous post, which someone had suggested that the problem could be with the computer. I figured, if I could reset the computer to see if the car would start, them it would also clear the maint lamp.
