Can inverter short radio? Fuse still good, now what?

Had an inverter plugged into cigarette lighter and was powering a laptop when one of the leads came off the inverter and touched the other one (I think). The radio went dead as did the lighter. I checked the fuse box by my feet and the radio fuse still looked good. Thoughts on where to look next please? Is there an in-line fuse on this stock CD/radio player? '97 Honda Accord SE.

check your accessory fuses both underhood and in the cockpit. If neither the lighter nor the radio works also check radio fuse underhood i'm pretty sure your year has one a 7.5a i think. You might want to think about hardwiring that bitch so you don't draw the current through the lighter plus you could put it on a switch.

I pulled the 15amp fuse from the engine area and dropped it before I had a chance to check it, but when I plugged a new one in there, shazam! it worked! Thanks for your help!
