hi. i finally got this b16 crx running. it's still running like crap though. now, the only code i am throwing is code 17, speed sensor. the speedo has not worked since the swap went in, but wasn't tripping any codes. what is the speed sensor, where is it, and could this be why my car is running like shit? it just seems like there is nothing pushing the car. the engine is revving, but it just seems like it wont get any speed.
if it aint one thing, its another.

More than likely your speedo cable is not fully pushed into the tranny. Have you checked that? That code wont effect your performance at all.

this is 100% FALSE.
with a PR3/PW0 ECU, or any VTEC ECU for matter, the vehicle speed is taken into account as one of the factors for VTEC activation.
Your car is running like crap because VTEC isnt activating. check out your speedometer cable in the tranny, if its plugged in fine, take out your gauge cluster and check the connection there, as the VSS is located in the cluster itself.
