Can any one help.......How do you change the headlight bulb on a ZX2 Escort....I can't get the old bulb out of the housing?

did you ever get the old headlight bulb out of the housing? I am having the same problem. Let me know if you figured it out, thanks!

I figured it out with the help of a neighbor...my problem was I didnt want to break anything, but what you have to do is squeeze the two white plastic tabs on the back of the part that is attatched to the wires, and pull pretty damn hard on the black base of the bulb housing (pull forward while gripping the tabs with the other hand) to get it out.

It is hard to get it out, so dont be afraid to really use some grip.

I have a similar problem, only that i have no clue what to take apart inorder to get to the headlight? If you could tell me what I need to do, I would really appreciate it. I have a repair manual and my dad took a swing at it but were still at square one!!!!
