The rear license plate is mounted on the tailgate with only two top mounted screws. This leaves the plate and mounting bracket loosely secured. When the tailgate is slammed shut the plate bangs violently against the door. I've tried a variety of mounting plates/brackets but with no success. Anyone have any suggestion???? It's just very annoying every time I close the tailgate. Oh, I have an '03 SE model.

also they make many glues at your local home depot that can glue metal to metal, plastic to metal, etc. Check it out. Maybe glue foam rubber to the back.
