If you can see some corrosion on the battery terminal just try cleaning it off with a wire brush. gumper 01-02-2004, 10:40 AM have tried this and still nothing still looking for the answer lildog 01-02-2004, 03:38 PM The first thing I would do is r/r the battery with one You know works. After that, it would be time to bring it into a shop and have them read the codes on the thing to diagnose it. gumper 01-02-2004, 10:24 PM the prob is that there is nothing to read there is no power other than the lights and the horn there is just nothing heatherannie22 01-19-2004, 09:51 PM You may need to go thru and check all your wiring, I mean ALL. You may have had a mouse in there that chewed on something. sparkypdr 01-21-2004, 05:00 PM I had a similar problem on an olds 98 (still a GM) and found the cable from the battery to the starter had developed a high resistance to the point that it acted like a dead battery. I took a jumper cable from the hot lead on the starter to the hot side of the battery and it turned over. Replaced the cable and had no more problem. Being an electrician helped to keep me from making wiring errors like shorting the battery to ground and making lots of sparks. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
