Im looking to buy new suspension for a 99 acura integra gsr im looking at tokiko illumina and KYB AGX adj shocks and i can get the illuminas for $375.00 including shipping and the AGX's for $310.00 how much are these shocks regular price and are they worth it?

Illuminas are better than AGX's because they feature rebound/compression adjustments done by the user. AGX's have progressive valving which allows the shock's performance to adapt to road conditions & giving the user some adjustment. Koni yellows would be a great choice. It all depends what the car will be used for . . .daily driving . . . do you really need adjustable shocks? NO, but it's nice to have with lowering/performance springs.

I paid $85.00 each for my AGX's
on average AGX's usually cost $100 each & Illuminas are $130 each.

Which suspension is the best? Formula 1 probably uses the *best* suspension & only a couple million dollars.

i have a 99 acura integra gsr. The reason i put up two is cuz no one would answer me but everyone else had like 100 reads and a bunch of answers but oh well. I want to use these shocks with tsudo coil overs. That brings me to another question i dont know if the tsudo coil overs are any good or not please tell me some good ones if these suck.

KYB does NOT suggest using AGX's with any type of adjustable spring, so those are out of the question. I've never been in a car with Tsudo or do I know anything about them.

Well i had both on my 96 HB -- 1st was tha illuminiaz -- there were nice.. but if u talk to tha rep -- he will tell u they only support up to a 1.5" drop.. if u really wanna go lower than that - then u gotta get tha blues.. i know alot of kids who run tha tokico Blues w/ a 3"-4.5" drop all day.. for yrs & no porobs.. i ran a 3.5" drop on my tokico whites & blew all tha shocks out!!!! ~

Tha KYB AGX'z what can i say theres things are usually over looked for KOni's ~~ But U should Deff know that AGX's are some of tha best things ive ever for tha price... my friends have TEIN, Koni w/ Eibach, Bilstien w/ H&R - I driven all of there cars... tha KYB shocks do it just tha same.. for alil less.. tha only car i know that handled like noticeably better -- was my Coz car w/ tha H&R/Bilstien set up.. although it was a 1.8t vw set up for autocross.. that car was a BEAST!!!

But yeah GO w/ tha AGXs!!!

KYB's will not do it like true full coilovers, they won't even do it better than Koni Yellows. I've been rolling on Tein suspension for almost 2 years now and I have yet to feel any setup that feels as good. Only thing that comes close is my buddy's setup of Neuspeed sports (the green ones) over some Koni Yellows. And it's just a tad bouncier than mine, but that's from the valving of the Konis rather than the spring rates of the springs. Also something like Teins have way more adjustability than KYBs. About 3-4 times as much dampening adjustability to be exact. I recently upgradded to 2kg. STIFFER springs for my Teins and I can still make them feel almost as soft as stock factory suspension, or feel as harsh as a pro N1 type setup.

Whoever told you Blues are for dropping way low on doesn't know what they are talking about. Tokiko DOES NOT recommend any sort of dropping on them. I've talked to Tokico reps directly about this matter back when I wanted to get a set of them to use with Ground Controls, and they said they aren't made for that. They are simply higher performance OEM raplacements that will handle a minimal drop such as maybe an Eibach Pro-Kit, or some Tein Luxory Master ("1.2 drop) lowering springs. Even an extreme "3.5-"4 extreme drop like you said you had, would wear out Konis after a while, so I don't believe it that you had them on Blues without blowing them out. :bs: KYBs are good, as are Illuminas, but they don't really compare to a true coilover setup, that much I can tell you for fact!
