This might be similar to bburwell's radio woes; the last couple of times I've started up, there is a big burst of static through the left front speaker. Does anyone know how to get at the dashboard speakers? Or what might be causing the static?

The black cover on the dash comes off with CARE. just pull at it (start at the sides)
