Sound system Problem

alright...... i dunno if the problem is that i need an equalizer for my system or something that does the same an equalizer does. when i hit pause on my head unit. i hear this unknown noise from all my speakers, but when i unplug my amp the noise goes away. also when my base hits every light in my car looks like it turns off and then back on in a half second "really fast". can someone tell me what i am missing..
My door speakers are factory. "soon to be 700 watts each"
my 6x9 are 700 watts each
my box with the 12's are 500 watts each with an 1000 watt amp.
my cd player is a pioner, 50 x4 watts for a total of 200 watts output total.

You need a capasator [dont knw if i spelled that right...maybe you get the picture] to keep you lights from dimming like that. i dont know about the whole equalizer thing though.

If the sound varries with the speed of the motor, the power cable is too close to the audio wires. To fix, either find a way to shield the audio wires, or go to radio shack or any other electronic parts store and ask for some ferrite beads. These look like little ceramic rings, but wrap posative arround one and negative around another as close to the amp as possible, and the sound should stop. Depending on the wiring on the head unit, you may need to install on the power wires there also.

The cap is a good idea if you need it. But it will only help if you have power problems. (I.E. dimming lights when the bass hits)

Replace stock alternator With Higher amperage. Purchase from car audio shop. Also might wanna purchase 2nd battery and Install in trunk ONLY hooked up to Amp(s)/Stereo. And of course hoked up to the alternator to charge.. My brother insists that Future shop will know what to do for this.....They Install car stereo's

all a capicator does is store current to keep a constant flow to the amp, it does help but not completely. i have the same prob but my headunits buttons with lights behind them flash. but i never had the prob of every single light in my car do that only in garbage like gm's with that alternator whine.
