I was making these for a friend on this forum, but I wanted to show you a couple of custom exhaust I made.

Here is some pics:

I like the carbon fiber ones, but both are fun to build!

I use real aluminum tubing, cf decals and sponsor decals including the etched sponsor log on the exhaust tips and the bluing on the tips.

What else does everyone use?

I am not selling those, I just make them sometimes.

The blue is Tamiya translucent blue x-23 in the bottle.

My LHS sells this stuff. Each size fits perfectly inside the next. The stuff they sell is made in Chicago so its gonna be available in the US too.

That's what I use. and it's sooooo cheap! most I've seen was .79c a tube and it was like 3/4'' inch. I suggest if your making exhaust buy one of every size may ring you up a few bucks, but it's damn well worth it.

the ones I buy are about 10'' long, I believe that's about how big they are.

Quick question. What is the proper technique for cutting the tubing? I tried with my Dremel and ended up with a mess. :screwy: Maybe a jeweler's saw? I don't know. Thanks.

I use a tube cutter some use to cut brake lines. Though I've heard or using a #11 blade going back and foward to establish a cut.

Cool Exhaust! Especially the carbon-fiber ones.

Those look really good! I have been out of modeling for a while and didn't know some of this stuff existed. Is the carbon fiiber decals hard to find and what company makes them?
