Has anyone attempted to convert a first generation Lumina (3.1) to a standard transmission? What might I have to consider mechanically? What vehicle should I look for with a compatable transmission and usable linkages and pedals? Thanks for your ideas!

Some of them came with manual transmissions. Not many though. You would have to find a COMPLETE (I stress complete) 88-93 5spd Grand Prix/Lumina/Cutlass for the swap though. And they are very rare. There are a few guys at www.w-body.com that have done the conversion. Good Luck!
