The airbag light on my 90 Taurus has just started flashing 6 times, stops, and then repeats. Anyone have any idea what this error code means?
Do I have to be concerned about the airbag inflating, or is this an indication that a sensor is fried and the system is no longer functioning?

Thanks for any help

Thanks for the info AutoSHO......now the search begins. Have also been told that the problem is likely the clockspring, this could explain the "Open Circuit"

I agree that it is the most likely culprit. Does your cruise control and horn work?
