Why is it so hard to chose rimsGoosse 12-23-2003, 06:34 AM I need some help. I've selected a couple of rims I really like, but I don't know which would be the best choice for my car. I really don't feel like making a wrong decision, so I'm asking some advice from you guys. I'm looking for 16" rims. First, this is the car were the new rims have to be put on (still with my old rims) http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid77/pb1ff9449faefc82927702c8309212800/fb2b0a33.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid77/pbc2908740e252617937324840dd3f8f1/fb2b0977.jpg and these are the options 1st Rota circuit 8 http://www.machiii.net/images/wheels/big_c8.jpg 2nd Rota Grid http://www.machiii.net/images/wheels/big_grid.JPG 3th R1 Racing rims http://www.showoffimports.nl/database/assets/big/r1_specv-hypersilver.jpg 4th Icon (APC) W63 http://www.performancestyleattitude.com/parts_html/images/rims/w63_hypersilver_side01_l.jpg gnushit 12-23-2003, 08:32 PM i don't like any of those but from the bunch, the r1's look pretty good 00accord44 12-24-2003, 08:04 AM I'm not really a fan of rims that curve inward like that, but out of those, I would definitely go with the second option in gunmetal w/ polished lip. Goosse 12-24-2003, 08:23 AM I'm not really a fan of rims that curve inward like that, but out of those, I would definitely go with the second option in gunmetal w/ polished lip. my previous rims curved outward, so now I want something completely different... mycivic 12-24-2003, 02:10 PM 2nd Rota Grid is my choice. unusualcivic 12-24-2003, 02:47 PM gunmetal/polished Rota Grids, 'nuff said. civic_1.6_16v 12-27-2003, 02:07 PM He Goosse, looks like everybody here seems to agree with the pick I also did :D Rota Grid's are the best looking ones I believe, but I also like the R1 though :grinno: Jetts 12-27-2003, 02:09 PM I'm not really a fan of rims that curve inward like that, but out of those, I would definitely go with the second option in gunmetal w/ polished lip. word jcrx 03-28-2004, 05:39 AM Bronze or white C8's would look good on you car. That last one just looks heavy, and it's APC (American Piece of Crap), the grids never been a big fan of em, the R-1's, well I don't think those require anydiscussion as to why not. The best way is to think about what you would like to see on your car. Then get a scale and get the lightest one. THEOLDMAN 03-28-2004, 02:13 PM I like six spoke rims. I went with the Rota Grids. White will look good on your car. SilverY2KCivic 03-28-2004, 02:54 PM I'd have to go with gunmetal or sport bronze C8's, or the steel gray Grids. Now for my car I'm looking at some black faced Rota Subzeros with polished lip. Pretty sweet looking they are. liquidflame8 03-29-2004, 02:25 AM i like the circuit 8's also, but don't know what color would look best cuz you have a green car. jajimo 04-05-2004, 07:52 PM Wait, what's wrong with your current rims? I think they look pretty good compared to my stock ones! skubydobdo 04-26-2004, 05:12 PM my friend's got 18" bronze te37s on his black civic and I like the color combo. bennybenster 04-27-2004, 09:15 AM R1 gets my vote... Ricochet 05-03-2004, 02:40 PM White rims and 6 spokes are gay. Find some 5 or 7 spoke rims that are black or bronze. In my defense I sold my whities and am buying some nice black ones w/a polished lip. Can't beat that look on a black car. btw Goosse, I like your tails. scallywag 05-05-2004, 03:11 AM I like the look of the R1 the best, but they are probably pretty heavy, if that matters to you. 2nd choice would be the 2nd rota grid. Also have you looked into any 7 spoke patterns. They look really good on hondas Thepeug 05-05-2004, 11:24 PM Sport bronze c8's would look nice with your car. Goosse 06-28-2004, 05:10 AM It's been a long time since I visited this forum, but here is an update on the wheels. http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/wetoddimage.wtdr/wMzc3MTc5NnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D.jpg http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/wetoddimage.wtdr/wMzc3MTg3NnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D.jpg http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/wetoddimage.wtdr/wMzc5OTYzNnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D.jpg Thepeug 06-28-2004, 07:26 AM Looks really good. Are those the Grids? Goosse 06-28-2004, 01:00 PM yep, they are 16" rota grid. Steel grey with a polished lip SilverY2KCivic 06-29-2004, 02:13 AM yep, they are 16" rota grid. Steel grey with a polished lip I just put a set of "16 Royal Black Grids on order today. SpaceManSpiff 06-29-2004, 03:29 PM What are you going to do with the c8s? If you're selling them, I might want to buy them. And nice choice, Goosse. SilverY2KCivic 06-30-2004, 02:18 AM What are you going to do with the c8s? If you're selling them, I might want to buy them. And nice choice, Goosse. Thanks for the offer. I'm actually going to keep them, and use them as my race wheels for when I auto-X. The ES100 tires I have on them right now have about 40% tread left on them, so I know I can get another few events on them. I'm going to be putting some Falken Azenis RT-215 tires on the new wheels when I get them, 215/45 16 size for the tires. phat1 06-30-2004, 09:04 PM hey try the racing hart cr they'll look nice  trust me on that i know my rims SilverY2KCivic 06-30-2004, 10:38 PM hey try the racing hart cr they'll look nice  trust me on that i know my rims My Grids are already on order (read above  ) and Racing Harts are over rated around here. If you don't mind me asking, from where did you order them? Yup, brand spankin' new. It's from a local So. Cali Rota reseller, www.islandmotorsports.com phoenixitc 07-07-2004, 07:24 AM Has anybody tried Nakayama Zoro 10s? These will fit my 95 Accord and weigh about 2lbs per wheel more than the stock EX wheel. I'm not into 5- to 7-spoke wheels, too common. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
