There is no doubt your question was legit. So was my answer. There is no safe plus size fitment on these vehicles. I'll try this one more time for your benefit and anyone else considering this. There have been so many issues with this vehicle and tires/wheels/suspension and its tendency to roll over in emergency situations I wouldn't even consider a plus size application. We would not sell anything in a plus size for this vehicle due to safety reasons. Any shop willing to sell larger wheels and lower profile tires on these vehicles is more interested in your wallet than your safety. I feel so strongly about that that I don't even want anyone making suggestions about other sizes on these vehicles. It's not safe period and we are not going to discuss it here on this board. We are not going to say something is safe when it's not. This is not the rantings of a lunatic I assure you. There have already been multi-million $$$ lawsuits involving shops who have sold tires that were not on the approved replacement tire list from Ford (and that's in the stock sizes)! If someone gets hurt in an accident and someone sold them a non approved or non stock tire size they are asking for a lawsuit. These sizes are simply not smart or safe. I'm sure you have seen a lot of these with plus size wheels and tires. There's also a lot of people still smoking out there as well. It still doesn't make it smart or safe. If you want to do this, I would look at a later model with independent rear suspension.
