Quality of Revell kits......specifically the Mercedes S600?

I have yet to purchase a Revell kit (always purchased Tamiya kits) but I would like to pick up the Mercedes S600 by Revell and was wondering if anyone has any feedback about the quality of the kit.

There's an ongoing thread about it in the in-progress section.

I've got the kit, it's a bit above Fujimi quality, nowhere near Tamiya but w/some skills you'll get a nice looking finished model. Fairly simple construction, and they take modifications nicely.

The Revell s600 really has a lot of fitment problem. but with a little tweak here and there it will turn out to be a good looking model.

Just my :2cents:

The progress thread posted above is mine. Enjoy it! As for the fitment problems, So far everything has gone pretty well considering the modifications I've done to it. The only problem area I see is the interior where it comes into contact with the glass, but if you're careful, it all fits together. The trunk lid also looks wrong because it doesn't drop all the way down to meet the bumper, so it leaves a gap. Overall, I give this kit a 7.5/10. :bigthumb:
