Potential cloth seat upholstery!

I got some covers to go over some of my 1:1 cars in the garage over the winter and in the package there's a little disc of material for reinforcing an antenna hole should you need to cut one. The weave of the material is really fine and the stuff is very thin plus, best of all it's self adhesive! I see some potential 1/24 seat upholstery! :naughty: :evillol:

I just quickly cut a bit and stuck it on this seat so you can see what I mean. I know it's a bit crude, but if i spent a little time cutting it neatly it would be fine. The material is a pale silver-grey colour and would make great inserts on black seats, I think. Check it out...

It's also excellent for making seatbelts too. I might see if I can get some more of it direct from the manufacturer or at least find out where they get their material from. What do you all think ..worth looking into?

If you can get some, let us know. What company makes your garage covers?

They are make in the UK by Redhouse Automotive products under the brand name "traffic". The cover and bag is made of the same material but you'd have to glue it on. If that worked one cover would keep me on model upholstery for about 100 years
