Hey guys. I've seen a thread about some cheap kits at wal-mart, and my LHS has an "Every-Thing Must Go" New year sale on day only. January 1st 2004. I went in there today (open tues.-sat. day only) To pick out my kits for him to hold for the 1st. Everything will be 40-65% off for those who've spent about 200bux there in the past, and for regulars like me, who've spent more than they can count with 200 peoples toes and fingers, will get a deeper discount. Plus, no taxes! I had him hold the following:

Dang. Sounds like a lot of great deals. I wish hobby shops around here would do that.

That's sad to hear Eddie.
But, I'm not the grinch, ( I'm not green), so
a few of them, I'll be giving as late christmas presents like some paints, the primera, alfa, 350, fuj. itr, and the benz, and some wheels, I haven't decided which ones yet. But the rest, the rest are for me.

Dude, where do you live? I remember that your location was Louisiana, so perhaps that hobbyshop is nearby me? Though I won't be able to get any sort of discount, they seem to have good stock vs. the shops here.

I'm in folsom, so it isn't real close to me. It's called Hobby.... something. I can't think of the name off hand. I'll let you know tomorrow. That ok? It's a big place they have models, rc's, slot cars, trains and such.

Well, it's not all bad. I did but a JTCC Nissan Castrol Primera myself yesterday online for $20 and I managed to get hold of an DR30 Skyline kit with an engine as a donor for my Auster! :naughty:

In the town where I live there is on one HS. I don't buy kits from them only Tamiya paint, thinners and some glues. They stock Tamiya kits but the prices are a bit of a joke. They have a Tamiya Enzo for £37 ($65) :grinno: I had to pay £5 (nearly $9) for a roll of 18mm Tamiya masking tape there today

jeeze, 9$ a roll. That's outrageous. good to hear bout the auster having a def. motor, is it s/c HPC, or the turbo?

It's an old OOP Aoshima kit which I think is the one re-issued as the High Power Unit version. I hope so anyway. :iceslolan

Thanks! I'll have to check them out next time I head that way. Hey, have you heard of Hobbies West? The are near the Zephyrs park (I think) so if you're heading that far anyway, maybe a little further would be ok. I haven't been in the store, but I hear its real nice and it looked good in the window....

i know you said you were doing something with the ITR, but if for some reason you can get another, or seel the one you have, i would be GLAD TO BUY IT FROM YOU

why don't you just order one from the revell-monogram website? They're easy to get. I'm getting 2, because I might need select parts from on kit to use in the other for my AWD turbo pro-tourer kit.
