94 Bonneville SSEi surging

My 94 Bonneville SSEi with supercharger started to surge when accelerating. Kind of engine slow/pull few times and after that back to normal. I always use premium gas and I used fuel injector cleaner recently. Could it be a supercharger problem? The boost gauge behaves o.k., the same as before the problem started.

Are you talking about "normal" driving conditions, or are you "leaning" into the throttle?

Mine does something like that too, but only when heavy accelerating. Usually around 60MPH, and 3000 on the tach.

I am "leaning" into the throttle. I also noticed that it happens when the boost gauge goes over 0.

Not sure, but I think it might be the traction control working "overtime" I intend on looking in my GM service manual to see what it says about that. Was your Traction Control on at the time?

Interesting Idea. I'll try turning it off next time I drive it.

My traction control is usually on. I will try turning it off to see if the engine choking reappears.
