Allright...so this hasn't happened before but a few days ago my 97 Teg LS started making these noises...uum...sounded like it was coming from the Cat Converter...but not really sure cause I haven't even began to mess with that stuff. (newbie) Usually gets really loud when I gas up to 1800 rpms...what do I do?

Most catalytic converters make a repetative dinging sound when you first start up the car or when you stop the car. This is due to the expansion and contraction of the different materials and it's normal.
If the sounds are more like clanging noise, you should look under your car for loose fasteners.
If the noises are really loud, check for corrosion on the muffler, the catalytic converter, and the exhaust pipes.
