This is a prova countach replica built in Darwen Lancashire for a customer who wanted something different.Prova where the first people to copy the countach taking a mold strait of a rented car.If you check out the roof line it is to flat which easly gives away the Prova and also the door mirrors are of the wrong type and location .The car was up for sale a few years ago but what happened to it I dont know.

you're completely right... I'm pretty sure I've confused it with the white Lotus Espirit! (very ashamed) :banghead:

yep, there was no Countach in any of the James Bond movies and yes it's really a Lotus that was in the James Bond movie "The Spy Who Loved Me".

Actually, it was a real Lambo. The owner found out how much it was to replace his clutch and went over the edge.

I'm pretty sure it's a Ryan Z1A.
__________________________________________

The Ryan Z1A does 260 km/h on land and 24 km/h in the water.

The engine is a 3.9-litre Rover V8 - similar to those in Land Rover Defender and Discovery models - producing 150 kW, and special features include the car's ability to tuck its wheels and suspension away to prevent drag in the water, plus a smoke ejector to confuse potential hijackers!

Fully road legal, the Z1A is currently on sale at around R180 000, and has featured in a number of TV programmes and even a full series in the UK, has leather upholstery, a carbon fibre dashboard, wide alloy wheels and is built on an ultra-strong multi-tube semi-spaceframe chassis.

Suspension is totally inboard, and the ride height and spring rates are fully adjustable.

The cars has ultra-wide wheels - 8.5 x 15 at the front, shod with Pirelli 225-50 VR 15 tyres, and 12 x 15 rears with Pirelli 345-35 VR 15 rubber, and drive is through a high ratio R30 transaxle.

For water use - and it's simply a matter of driving down a slipway or off a hard beach - there are hydraulic suspension activators to compress the suspension while water borne, plus a twin prop drive via an engine power take-off point.

There are twin rudders and a front hydrofoil And the smoke ejector? That was installed for a film, and is STRICTLY illegal on the road!

I think it was a Lotus Espirit - if were refering to the James Bond movie "Octupussy". white colored. I haven't seen a James Bond Movie endorsing an Italian Car... It was only during Pierce Brosnan's "Die another day" movie when they showed Ferraris and Lambo diablo - but they did not used them as a James Bond Car, they were merely part of the collection of this Korean guy and was immediately blown away a few seconds after they showed it... But the Ferrari Modena (Yellow) and Red Diablo was thrown off the plane in the later part of the movie, and they landed nose first in a rice paddy somewhere in china. fyi.

The submersible Esprit appeared in The Spy Who Loved Me, not Octopussy.

The vehicle shown above is definitely a Ryan Z1A.

(Off topic). This Diablo was recently bought and shipped to the States, where it was rebuilt after years of neglect in a barn in the UK.
