The Crossover Sport Van

The minivan is an important segment of the light truck market but, unlike pickup trucks and SUVs, it has a rather dowdy "soccer mom" image. One possible solution to the image problem is to rename the class of vehicles. This name change approach is being pursued by one major auto maker who is now describing minivans as Crossover Sport Vans. However, the name change does not signal a retreat from the marketplace. Instead, the manufacturer is bringing out new entries in minivan/crossover segment of the light truck market.
