Aoshima VIP Re-release

Big news! Well, big news for wheel people like me and VIP car fans. My prediction was accurate. My Japanese vendor has informed me that Aoshima is doing a limited re-release their 19" VIP wheel sets No. 31 - No. 34 in late January.

19" Junction Scara
19" Fabulous Profound
19" Bersaglio Spoke II
19" Vienna Kreis

I haven't confirmed this with other guys in Japan (e-mails have been sent), and Aoshima hasn't posted it on their website, but this guy has been reliable.

Just an FYI. Start saving your pennies and planning some new projects. I know I will be.

In terms of price, they all be 800 yen like all of Aoshima's 19's. Yes, while they are OOP, these wheels are still available in several of the VIP Car and VIP American series. More info when I get some.

More news. HLJ has removed the OOP status from these wheels and are now accepting pre-orders. Says Dec. release. Strange. Anyway, if you want them, better order now.

Dang, I didn't know rims were that much. I'm going to have to wait. That's almost as much as a kit. I don't have any money right now.

i don't have any money either but i don't wanna miss these either... decisions decisions, im gonna get a job here at school next semester so hopefully i'll be getting more money and building more kits :D

Yup, No.33 Bersaglio Spoke II are the coolest of the lot. My fav of all the VIP wheels. If I could spend $4k+ on wheels for my 1:1, I'd get them. Though I'd need a new 1:1 first, as they would look silly on my old Civic.

800 yen is actually quite reasonable. Even domestic aftermarket accessory companies like Pegasus and Hoppin' Hydros charge from US$7 to $10 for some of their wheels.

I think Aoshima 19" Bersaglio Spoke II is no longer available to be pre order in HLJ. So if you looking for 19" rims, dont wait, place your order.....

I don't know the volume of items HLJ deals with (I'm sure it's quite high), but I'm surprised that they were available for pre-order for such a long time. Frankly, even though I pre-ordered some sets through HLJ, I don't expect to get them. Well, maybe I will since I place the pre-orders as soon as it was up (if they go in order of order placing). Both HS and HW have confirmed they will be getting the 19" wheel re-releases, but from what I was told, no pre-orders, first come-first serve, since they weren't sure how many they were getting and were almost positive they'd be gone fast.

This is what they (HLJ) have to say about Bersagilo Spoke II :

This is a new item that has not yet been released by the manufacturer. We have already taken more orders than we expect to be able to fill. No further orders will be accepted until supplies are confirmed when the product is released.
Blue squares with a white X indicate items that have not yet been released, but for which we are no longer accepting orders because we expect supplies to be limited.
In some cases, even prior to release, our suppliers inform us that the amount of a new product we can buy may be limited. If we take more orders for something that we can reasonably expect to fill, we will place that item in this "order stop" status until we can confirm how many pieces will be available at the time of release. If we fill all pre-orders, and still have stock remaining, then the item will be put on regular, in-stock status and we'll begin accepting orders again.

HLJ says that Aoshima wheels Volk TE37, Volk CE28, Rcaing Hart and Enkei NT03M are "Just-In".
