Help: ABS and Brake Light ONBlown326 12-15-2003, 02:34 PM I have a problem that hopefully someone can help me with. I just bought a 2001 2500HD and after driving the truck for 5 minutes the ABS and Brake light come on together. Any suggestions on where to start looking for the problem? GMMerlin 12-15-2003, 03:30 PM First thing is to retrieve the codes from the ABS module...you will need a scan tool to do that. Blown326 12-15-2003, 03:43 PM Thanks I will take it in and have a shop run a diagnostic on it. Cee99 05-24-2004, 10:22 PM Thanks I will take it in and have a shop run a diagnostic on it. Cee99 AlaskanZ71 05-26-2004, 04:43 PM Did anyone think to read the owners manual? Did you pull the fuses and put them back in? I am in an Extream enviroment in alaska, (cold, and muddy) and mine has that prob once a month in the summer and alot more in the winter, i pull the fuse and put it back and it goes away. I hope yours is that simple. O and i have had the dealership look at it, they said it was all good and didnt know why, idiots they are i say, idiots! :eek7: zonk3939 05-26-2004, 05:45 PM Mine doesnt seem to do it but on wet days,so I`m just going to live with it til I trade it in next year. I do hate the front ends on the newer Chevys,though....
