this really isn't a question about the civic, its just a general question [i put it here cus the civic has the most active board]...i just wanna hear your comments about the "Fast and the Furious" movies and their effect on the auto industry...

here are my comments
I believe it has done an equal amount of good as bad...first off everyone calls nitrous "NOS" .... NOS is nitrous but nitrous is not "nos"...nos is a freakin brand name! secondly everyone tries to imitate the cars in the movie by copying their gay ricer graphics [especially the one on the supra] or buying something so much its useless [the blitz body kit]. Also it makes some cars look like shit and others that cant perform as well look like gods. It made the supra look really bad and made the 3rd gen eclipse look like a god! WTF is up with that...the 3rd gen eclipse is far from being "godly" in anyway. sure it has a v6...but it cant hang with any real racer. in the second one an eclipse out performed a mustang cobra in a chase seen, i haven't seen crap like that since...the first movie! They could have built good names for other cars such as the SKyline [wich was barely featured] 2nd gen eclipse [featured, but blows up in the first 30 minutes of the movie :-P ] or the supra...which is godly in the first movie, but totally sucks in the second one. The movie is sponsored by Mitsubishi but they shouldn't make highly modded eclipes beat highly modded supras...that just doesn't make sense. the F&F has done a great deal of damage, but it has done some good. it got alot of people into cars which is a total plus. more peeps now modd their car [good for aftermarket companies] and there are more tracks poppin up everywhere. i do admit it was the first F&F movie that got me really interested in tuning cars, but most people affected by this do not shed thier shell and step into the real tunning world. so thats my opinion...just wanna hear your take on the Fast and the furious.

while we are at it lets throw in some more movies we can all talk about... how about Days Of Thunder, Driven, hell... any movie that is not true to life... thats pretty much all of them

(they are just movies, for entertainment only, watch them, laugh, cry, smile, get pissed, whatever! just for God's sake don't read too much into them!!!)
