I have a re-occurring problem with a short at the housing of the Alternator wher the (+)positive wiring comes thru. The Terminal post comes loose and shorts out.
Is there a better Alternator to buy and use??? (Without the Dealer)?
Also refer to my previous post regarding shorting of the Battery (internally) same car.
Thanks, Ty Williams

Similar problem as posted previously.
This time took car to garage.
Replaced battery with Interstate battery.
car sat long time.
battery charged.
but after sev ral days is dead.
Jumped and drove car 1 hour, when I turn off is dead , can't restart.
Bought new charger with diagnostics...
First tried 30 amp charge and got F01 code... failure, short in cell or
overload can't charge...
Then charged overnight at 2.3 amps, was ok still charging this morning,
charging now at 10 amps.
Charger has auto shut off when fully charged.
IS 80 amp alternator large enough for this car...Limited edition w/ P/S, P/W, security, elect trunk, electric power air shocks, computer systen, power antenna, etc.
think may be short... but can't find...?
