Cast Tuner Lug Wrenchsteve8091 12-12-2003, 07:44 AM This is probably a stupid question - a few months ago I replaced my stock wheels with aftermarket, which use tuner lugs. To get them on, I used a standard socket wrench (which cracked shortly after use..oh well). Does someone manufacture one-piece cast wrenches, made specifically for this application, that I can keep in my car in the event that I get a flat? Where can I find them? I believe I have 20mm lugs, since I used a 13/16" socket (yes, I know) to get them on. steve8091 12-12-2003, 09:10 AM To answer my own question, I think a breaker bar is really my only option. GScivic7 12-12-2003, 04:36 PM i don't have an answer to your question, but nice ride  BTW don't get them fugly tails, I voted in your poll, but I accidentally voted for the tails, I'm against them steve8091 12-12-2003, 05:31 PM Thanks for checking it out. I am relatively new to tuning (I've had the car less than a year), so it is still just coming along. The tails are a ways off yet, as I am focusing on performance at the moment, but thanks for the opinion. kicker1_solo 12-13-2003, 02:52 AM ever thought about just getting a ratchet and socket and keeping it in your car? That's what I do.... steve8091 12-13-2003, 06:18 PM I snapped the last socket, so I was hesitant. Ultimately, though, that is what I will do, except with a breaker bar rather than a ratchet. BullShifter 12-13-2003, 11:56 PM Use the breaker bar for removing & a torque wrench for tightening. You could even get one of those 4-way things from a parts store. Check the torque often. kicker1_solo 12-14-2003, 04:47 PM I snapped the last socket, so I was hesitant. Ultimately, though, that is what I will do, except with a breaker bar rather than a ratchet. I meant get a good one and put it in your car :) i_a_n112784 12-14-2003, 05:40 PM When I had wheels that used a different lug nut size, I got one of those 4-way things from the parts store, and it worked great. Only problem was that it wouldn't fit nicely under the carpet by the spare tire , so it was always floating around in my trunk. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
