Air Conditioning or No air conditioning? What would you do?healer 12-11-2003, 04:42 PM Ok............. here is the deal......... I have the chance of picking up a nice 240 SX which I have been looking for for some time. I love these cars but the only problem is that this 1996 240SX does not have air conditioning as an option. The orig owner just didnt opt for it when they bought the car new. So my question...................... Is it worth it to install an aftermarket air conditioning package or track down all the air conditioning components from a salvage yard? Does anyone have any idea on how difficult this could be to put together? I really like this car but I live in a place where it gets HOT and HUMID so I would like to see what I can do. Any ideas or opinions would be great! spitz7985 12-11-2003, 05:18 PM it would be a hard install. the a/c system has hardlines, so you would need to buy a tubing bender and flare tool. not worth it, IMO. also, i would go for it, even without a/c. a/c is just extra weight anyway. Soyo 12-11-2003, 10:51 PM personally I would just pay someone to put it in, cuz it would be a pain to do, and don't get me wrong, I love working on my car, but something like that, not even a performance upgrade, I don't know if I'd be able to commit myself to all that stress and time for an AC haha klohiq 12-12-2003, 12:54 AM It's worth it imo...my car has an aftermarket one... stealthj 12-12-2003, 01:35 AM just get one without seriously when u look for a car...PLEASE try to get all the things u need that come with factory healer 12-12-2003, 09:20 AM It's worth it imo...my car has an aftermarket one...
