Hey guyz...need a lil help with this one. Last night my car was just fine. Dipped below freezing last night and now this morning my car won't start. The engine turns but thats it. It won't start. I checked all my wirings, belts. Anyone have any suggestions?

in very cold conditions if your battery is poor it will fail to start your motor, recharge and try again,or jump start.

check your dizzy cap inside for moisture,others- feed to dizzy-main engine fuse blown-internal fault in dizzy-engine iced, timing slipped.etc.

Hey I have the same problem, though my Sentra is a 95. It is in the shop now and even the mechanic is somewhat at a lose. Check to see it the spark plugs are wet (with fuel) hence flooding and thus not allowing the car to start. Like mine. I'll add more replies in the up coming days as I learn more about my car. Check my post about the 95 Nissan won't start! Good luck.

Does it crank?
It takes about 9 volts to crank the car (7 on small cars) and only about 5 to run everything else.
lead acid batteries will NOT charge below freezing.
If your car was running fine yesterday and now its not I would assume its the battery. take it somewhere heated give a nice slow 2 to 10 amp charge for an hour or 2 and then try it. If you're still having problems take it to NAPA and have them load test it

i've seen this also. turns over OK, good spark, no fuel. Seems to act like a vapor lock. but its too cold in December. Actually had it happen a couple of times when turning on the AC. (turn on at about 40mph, engine dies, turn off engine restarts)
I suspect there a shutoff relay involved. Is there one? Where to find?

hi, it could possibly be moisture in the cap, like the previous post related. you gotta check the fundamentals like fuel and spark, timing, timing chain/belt. Also its kinda hard to check if your fuel is getting to where its suppose to if the car is fuel injected. You could have a full tank of gas, but try while some one puts the key ignition from off to on position if you listen with the gas cap off try to hear the fuel pump make a buzzing sound, it should buzz for a few seconds then shut off.

just some suggestions, thats what I do before i go see a auto tech. before you take your car to an auto tech try to see if they have experiance with nissans.
