Ground Rat 12-08-2003, 11:15 PM Best bang for the buck for under 25k? Pick up a straight/rust free second gen nova for less than 5k, and 20k on a sprayed aluminum block BBC. *Untouchable* youngvr4 12-09-2003, 01:06 AM only cause i love the rare jap muscles supra tt, 3000gt vr4, mazda RX-7, nissan 300ZX tt. also but more common, trans am ram air, mustang cobra, camaro ss, also- srt-4, wrx, m3 bmw, porche boxter, might even be able to find a 1997 corvette c5 for $25,000. oh and the enzo, could probly find one for about $23,000 :iceslolan 95gts98gt 12-09-2003, 02:39 PM dude were talkin bout new cars here. youngvr4 12-10-2003, 12:25 AM oh :banghead: kfoote 12-10-2003, 11:05 AM WRX is the best of the bunch if you have to drive it on anything other than dry pavement. RSX probably has the best gas mileage and close with the Focus for the lowest insurance. SRT4 is probably the best sleeper car of the bunch. Mustang has the most power as long as you live in the desert where it doesn't rain. Polygon 12-10-2003, 01:05 PM Hands down the SRT-4 is the best bang for the buck in the $20,000 range. I would take it over the WRX any day. I took a test drive in both last weekend and there was no comparison. MexSiR 12-10-2003, 09:15 PM Well the RSX-S is the best car I would say, the SRT-4 may be very fast but it is still a neon, and dodge reliable, i read an article about some SRT-4s having some engine and clutch problems this early...hahahahha Polygon 12-10-2003, 11:59 PM Well the RSX-S is the best car I would say, the SRT-4 may be very fast but it is still a neon, and dodge reliable, i read an article about some SRT-4s having some engine and clutch problems this early...hahahahha :disappoin Sorry but you read wrong. The SRT-4 is NOT a Neon. If you want to use that logic than the Evo is still a Lancer and the WRX and STi are still an Impreza. And you say "Dodge reliable" how freaking ignorant. OoNismoO 12-11-2003, 04:40 AM Well the RSX-S is the best car I would say, the SRT-4 may be very fast but it is still a neon, and dodge reliable, i read an article about some SRT-4s having some engine and clutch problems this early...hahahahha those srt-4s are probably having problems cause of how hard its being drivin, i mean think about the type of people who would buy them, they probably bought it for speed, and they probably drive them pretty hard. also, its been out long enough that i would expect some of them to start having problems, not all of them are gonna be perfect, even cars, or companies known for good reliability will get problems this early. Polygon 12-11-2003, 10:39 AM those srt-4s are probably having problems cause of how hard its being drivin, i mean think about the type of people who would buy them, they probably bought it for speed, and they probably drive them pretty hard. also, its been out long enough that i would expect some of them to start having problems, not all of them are gonna be perfect, even cars, or companies known for good reliability will get problems this early. Yeah, Chrysler needs to educate customers on how to take care of a turbo-charged car. Neutrino 12-11-2003, 11:06 AM Oh btw if anyone doubts the srt-4 i would like to point out this article http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/projectcars/0310scc_projneon/ if anything this engine is overenginered oh and btw its got the smoothest pull of any car that i've driven...very similar with the RX8's but way more powerful BLU CIVIC 12-11-2003, 11:24 AM funny how every time a thread include or makes mention of the neon srt-4.....we first have people critizing it then everyone defending it, then everyone telling about the past of dodge  Neutrino 12-11-2003, 01:47 PM funny how every time a thread include or makes mention of the neon srt-4.....we first have people critizing it then everyone defending it, then everyone telling about the past of dodge  that is true...it happens everytime.... the thing is that people keep bashing it whitout bothering to do any reaseach this is exacly why SCC did that article i posted...they were sick and tired of hate mail regarding the srt4 quote from the article: "But power isn't enough to satisfy some of you. Since our first test of the car, we've received approximately 6,000 letters saying exactly the same thing: "Sure the SRT-4 is fast, but it's still a Neon. It'll break down before the end of the quarter mile, blah blah blah..." this is why we are defending it...people bash it based on prejudices and don't bother to make proper research i really hate it when people don't give credit were credit is due fine you don't like it don't buy it....but that doesn't make it a POS F23A4Racer750IL 12-11-2003, 08:35 PM Yeah, Chrysler needs to educate customers on how to take care of a turbo-charged car. isnt it a mitsu turbo?
