88 FOX wont startteku 12-07-2003, 05:16 PM i've had my 88 fox in the garage for 7 years, the first thing i did was replace the gas tank, sending unit, pump, fuel filter, fuel pump thats it. i turn on the ignition to try and crank the motor, it cranked 5 times than just wouldnt crank anymore. i opened the hood and noticed that at least i was getting gas to the injectors, the problem is the injectors where leaking the gas out. now whats the problem, my fuel pump? i say fuel pump cause i noticed that when i turn the key the fuel pump comes on but doesnt stop it keeps humming. is it some sort of pressure regulator? sending to much gas causing it to leak thru the injectors? why doesnt my engine turn anymore? please help me, any help would be appreciated. noodle32 12-13-2003, 02:46 PM Sounds like you need a new battery - batteries will solidify over time to a point where they're unable to be used anymore - that's probably what happened - the lead inside of the battery became solid - you could try to charge it back up and it might melt the solid into a liquid again - but I would recommend a new battery ASAP vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
