1991 accord

will not shift out of park, only have low and high gear (manually have to start out in low then shift to drive),replaced vss. s light comes on when stepping on brake and also on acceleration. any suggestions ??

it can be ur idle is too high, pulll back on the accelerator..if it goes down it shoudl shift..

try revv and then let go then shift...

if not the tranny cable sync is off...its that cable that hooks up to the throttle linkage on the tranny....if u open the throttle all the way, the bottom one on the tranny should move all the way...if not then thats ur problem...

get a helms manual

there can also be a shift lock silinoid that may be damaged....

all this is discussed in the helms...i had ur problem and my tranny cable was out of sync
