Okay, first off, I don't believe in street racing. It's dangerous, and makes us all look like 16 year old rice boys. However, sometimes a man's pride can get the best of him. So I was driving down the road the other day, with my recently installed-loud-as-hell Apex n1.(Now everyone wants to race when they see/hear the coffee can!) I hear someone screaming up from behind, I look over and see this nasty grey primered 92-95 hatch. Looks like shit, sounds like shit. Unpainted body kit, Z3 fenders, etc., totally rice. He slows down and tries to taunt me, so I hit a 5-3 downshift and took off. I see him do the same in my left mirror, and like I had totally backed off the gas, he BLEW past me. Fucker. Oh well. I would like to run into him again and see what the hell's under that hood.

Maybe 20 min. later, same road even, I see a silver neon. I pulled up on him thinking I'd fix my damaged ego. WRONG! He had dual exhausts, no badging, and other that that it looked bone stock. Until I pulled up and looked in through his driver side window. Boost guage looking me right in the face. Fuck it. Let's do it. I knew what was going to happen. Apparently so did he. We both hit a lower gear, and this bama was gone. This one wasn't as bad as the first one for my ego, although the race was even further apart. I knew it was an SRT up front, so I expected the ass whoopin' It was pretty cool even. I'd never seen one of them run. Still, I really need to get this loot so I can do my swap. And JRSC. Son of a bitch, twice in one night.

BEWARE of the primered cars!

I've seen numerous primered cars pound 12's at the strip. One was a 1st gen gsx with 2 grand under the hood. He was like "why spend money on a paint job when you can embarrass them w/ primer" funny stuff

i like hearing people tell stories about how they got beat. its so much more truthfull and adds an aire of mystique to the street racing forum.

good story: no too long ago i got my civic stolen. i got an 03 silverado pickup as a rental. i liked it alot and i loved getting into it. i was making a trip from home to school (about 35 minutes) when i saw a primer grey 80-something CRX with custom plates reading: "H22 CRX" this car had no dash, little interior and a hole cut in the hood to make room for the engine (or so it looked like). i gave him all that the chevy could give but damn, and i mean damn that car just left. turns out the kid was an old friend who has never really gave two shits about hondas but had a change of heart recently...a good change of heart at that!

Getting beat is a way of life for those of us who still only have bolt ons. One day though, I won't be writing to you all about ass whoopins' no more. 'Till then, maybe I'll be giving you all a good laugh now and again. ;)
