I also chose the first, I like the new one and after a while we will adjust and make it more welcome but there's just something about those sensous curves on that car.

The 2001 model looked mean and vicious as it was, but the 2003 takes that to a new level. I think the 2003 model looks more refined as well.

The 2003 is looking nice, but they all look less refined than european cars do.

as I said before, I like it but, it has too many flat surfaces. That's why I love Porsche and ferrari, there cars are so flowing especially the 360.

I like the styling of the current one, but you can't deny the numbers of the 2003, over 500 hp, over 500 lb-ft of torque, and over 500 ci of displacement, wow!

They're all stool. If not for the power, who'd give a damn? I, personally, can't wait to see these cars fall off the ends of the earth. Just my thoughts.

I like the older ones they just looked so menacing!
the newer ones look like a camero gone japanese or something weird. Ill stick with the older ones!

I like the current roadster style best. The old one was due for a change. I am just dissapointed about the coupe.

Cool. A back from the dead thread! I like the earlier vipers. Sure the new ones have more guts but the styling just isn’t as “in your face” like the old one was.

I think that the new GTS is alot worse looking then the old '96 style. But the new RT/10 looks a million times better then the old one.

I agree with Yogz, I like the old ones more, but they were due for a change, and the 2003 model is very nice. And the performance numbers are difinitely impressive.

the new body style is too japanese . . . look at the back of those new roadsters . . . it looks like a wide s2000

Yes, the new one does borrow some lines from the S2000, I think it is a nice design but my favorite is the GTS Coupe, dark blue with two big beefy stripes! That design really captured the true essence of the Viper!

They are both ugly. One of my goals in life is to make a car faster than a Viper, then find one to race, and see the look on his face when I smoke him. Shouldn't be too hard to build a big block Chrysler to beat a Viper. My Grandma handed down her 1970 Chrysler 300 Hurst to my brother. It has a 440 magnum, auto on the column. Beautiful car but it's needs a little resto. If I know my brother, when he rebuilds the engine he'll probably want to get about 600 horses out of it. Plenty enough to smoke a Viper, even the current ones. It probably packs enough oats to beat a older viper the way it is now, factory rating is 375 HP and 480 ft/lbs of torque - underated.

well on a straight line it will not be that hard since vipers suck at serious drag racing...on the twisties....good luck

I'll take the first Viper Concept- Why? Well because when you are building a concept car you can do whatever the fuck you like :grinyes:

Or if I want to run it down the road to get some milk- I'll take the SRT-10- BEAUTIFUL car- makes it's 1st gen brother look stupid

I just want to clear things up. I keep hearing about the 2003 gts and the 2003 rt-10. There are no such cars. There is the 2003 srt-10.. And there is the competition coupe. That's it. And for a roadster it has got to be one of the finest on the road right now. The 360 gives it a run for its money, but I'd take a srt-10 over the 360. I will readily admit that the viper looks akward with it's top up, but it's not a car that I would cruise around town with my top up. I would want to be seen in that car. I don't like the bar behind the head in the gen1/2 rt-10's... it looks really restricting, but I think hennessey (I know all the crap we all love to talk about him, but hear me out) hennessey makes a great looking top that follows the lines of the roadster fairly well. The GTS is probably the beefiest looking of all of the vipers. So if you're going for brute looks call out the gts, if you're going for refined looks and brute strength the srt-10 is more than apt for the job.

The GTS Coupe is one of the best looking modern cars IMO.

the new 2003 Dodge Viper SRT-10 looks much better than the old Dodge Viper RT-10.

True, but I do like the hardtop on the rt-10. It looks pretty aggressive
