Initial D comic ver. Truenoozstrider 12-01-2003, 08:23 AM http://www.hlj.com/cgi-perl/hljpage.cgi?FUJ18354 Anyone know anything bout this model?? What im really wondering about is the dash decals. Cos in the story, the main character gets a new engine which has very high revs. So im wondering whether the dash is a stock engine one, or special high RPM ones. Honoturtle 12-01-2003, 11:01 AM Well, I own the older kit and only got the standard dash decals, but knowing Fujimi they wouldn't change the decals for something like that. You could always create your own to print. XspudX 12-01-2003, 04:48 PM It is prolly the Pre-Evo 3 battle AE86 version. ozstrider 12-01-2003, 07:32 PM Yeh thats what i thought too. Cos i wanna build 2. One thats the same as right at the start of series, and one as it is currently in the comic. With the carbon bonnet and buckets and all that. Ive almost finished my stock one. Looks like ill just have to make my own. Plus some other scratchbuilds cos he also has a water temp gauge and other gadgets put in. CamaroSSBoy346 12-01-2003, 08:15 PM Does anyone know how many DVD's Toykopop is going to make? I've only seen the first 2. The first; "Down Hill Tofu Delivery Special" (i think) and the second one "Rumbling Turbo" (?) Basically i've gotten to the point where Zach with the R32 wants to challenge Tak. I contributed the script to Tokyo Pop, so for the same of me, please watch the Japanese version with correct names and more importantly, for the real car sound. I'll have to break down in tears if any AF member watches the English audio version. Anyway... >ozstrider You can print the gauges with the inkjet printer, and cover the image with cellophane tape. Then, cut it out, and glue it to the dashboard with epoxy glue or non fog free super glue. If you want to addd a depth, you can cut a piece of clear plastic, and glue it in angle (just like a real car). It doesn't have to be water slide decal at all. For the best result, I suggest preparing the image at 400%, and use a color laser copier and reduce the image at 25%. That will eliminate small errors, and you can make a real sharp image of the gauges. ozstrider 12-02-2003, 02:38 AM Thanks hirofkd. And i also agree. People...forget the eng ID. Go for the japanese ver. I recently bought the entire first stage japanese DVD's, and won a copy of the eng DVD. And the eng one is terrible. It doesnt seem right to have the RedSuns rocking up with rap blaring out of there cars instead of the original awesome eurobeat. Plus the engine sounds are just wrong. I noticed in the eng one, none of the cars had BOV's...which is a bit of a bummer. But luckily you can listen to the original japanese on the eng DVD's...so theres hope. tpliquid 12-02-2003, 10:32 AM so it is copyright now :( cant distrubitute it anymore. David_ 12-02-2003, 07:10 PM u technicaly didn't win, but i won't stamp on ur glory ozstrider, anyway, keeping with the theme of the fujimi trueno, i was wondering, at hlj, there is a kit that includes takumi and natsuki models, is this kit exactly the same as the others, only with resin figures? (and how much should two 1/24 resin figures be worth?) CamaroSSBoy346 12-02-2003, 08:34 PM My friend has a bottlegged jap version. I think he has all the C/D's. Not sure.... Zturbo 12-18-2003, 08:06 AM there are 10 DVD's in the total Inital D series. there are 10 dvd's!! I only have 6 of them the first stage and the second stage(all japanese version).I once saw a movie title dvd and that make it 7.what are the other 3 dvd's title??? tonioseven 12-19-2003, 09:02 AM I have the Japanese script on the side of the car if anyone needs those decals; I have no plans on building this car. Future Boy 12-19-2003, 10:21 AM I have the Japanese script on the side of the car if anyone needs those decals; I have no plans on building this car. Sure! Can you post the image on here? tonioseven 12-19-2003, 02:55 PM Here it is... Rotaryman 12-20-2003, 11:04 PM Just like when you see a car that says "tom's window company," window is usually larger to tell you what it's all about. blindmonk228 12-23-2003, 01:24 PM the initial d series have 8 dvds for the jap version. the first series, second series, the movie, and the side story extra stage of team impact blue. its a lot cheaper to get the jap bundle dvd pack $110 shipped rather than buying a crappy eng dubbed for $20 a piece. Sigmaman 12-23-2003, 04:28 PM I bought the first DVD yesterday and it has both english and original japanese versions on it. ozstrider 12-23-2003, 07:43 PM Yah it does have both versions. But to get the whole series, its expensive. For the entire eng series it will be around 8 DVD's at abut $20 a disk. Whereas the jap series is only 3 disks. Plus its got the original eurobeat...which rocks. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
