Does anyone know anything about the NX single nozzle EFI system?

Nitrous is safe if installed correctly but in large amounts wears the engine pretty quickly.

i have a pretty well modified engine including a new fuel system and i will retard the MSD ignition. NX saays a 75 shot will be safe on a stock engine. what do u think of it being used on mine. i will only use it a few times a year

nitrous serves it's purpose. it is not an excuse for not having a fast car, well maybe for a short period of time. on an import it is good for:
1 a say, 50 shot for some more pep
2 to spray onto your intercooler to cool the charge
3 if you are running a large turbo and need it to spool the turbo, but then shut off when in boost

point is you can't spray enough nitrous into that engine to make the same power a properly set up turbo kit can make safely. nitrous can be safe if the proper kit is installed, installed correctly, and most importantly USED correctly. tuning is the key

I don't really know too much about n2o, but I've known people who had it on their cars for years and had no trouble. Now, they weren't hitting it at every light either. Nor have I known anyone who had higher than a fifty shot on stock internals. Well, one dude, but he was a douche, and blew his shit up anyways. Stock DX coupe with a 50, then he upped it to either 75 or 100. Needless to say he blew the first time he got back on the button. Like I say, douche. I've often thought of putting a 50 on my car, but I'd like to build a fast car first, and then only hit it going after time slips. If I do end up doing it, it'll be loong after the swap.

It isn't a matter if kit its self is safe or not; it's more of a matter of was the kit installed properly, and does the driver know how to use it.

Alright, so I've never given much thought to NOS but you've all made me think about it.

I know how a bit about how NOS works but if someone could explain to me what a 50, 75, 100 shot of NOS is, it would really clear things for me.

A 50 shot sprays enough to produce roughly 50hp. To switch to a 75 shot, you would have to take out the fuel pill and nitrous pill, each having a larger hole in them for more shit to flow. If you don't know anything about it, and have no experience, DO NOT use it. There's no safe dosage of nitrous on a stock Civic, the internals are just too weak on a sohc. After about 2 bottle's worth your engine will start stuttering, and you'll make yourself believe that your car is fast when really it's just the bottle doing the work. You'll become dependant upon it like a drug, and will use it until you lean out your engine. Then you'll have a Civic with a worthless hunk of metal under the hood, wishing you'd never installed that shit for a few cheap thrills.

I'm building a rs/vtec with all internals gutted out and replaced with crower HD components. So my engine should be able to take it. I was just wondering what ppl ment by 50 shot and so on.

Thankx
