My 95 rodeo vibrates on during acceleration at certain rpms and certain speeds. I was told when I bought it that the carrier bearing would eventually need replaced. It seems totally possible that this could be where the vibration is coming from. I am being quoted a week for delivery of the part and approximatly $700.00 installed.

Could this be the vibration and is this price justifiable?

That's very likely the cause of your problem, but that is a pretty steep price. Call www.stcharlesauto.com for a price on the carrier bearing, or get some more estimates if you are not able to do the work yourself.
