2500 steering problem..HELP!!darkstorm 11-29-2003, 08:36 PM I have a '97 2500.I have had the steering box replaced as well as steering dampner,u-joints,tires,wheels,tie-rods,etc. After all this I still can move my wheel 10-12" while driving and still have this "slop" in the wheel. If not that it could be the steering column. Danny pind 03-06-2004, 12:48 AM hey folks, this is not a new problem at all, it stems from several different things. It appears that the coil/trailing arm/live axle front end isn't so great after all. There is a unit called the darrin steering brace for dodge pickups, that seems to solve most of these steering issues.
