My Rodeo started to overheat, so I thought oh boy! not another freaking water pump, thank god that it is just the thermostat. Went to AutoZone picked up a thermostat, pulled off the bad one and low and behold the thing didn't match. (surprising, huh?!) Went back to get one that did match but they were baffled at the thing. Told me to go to some other parts stores, so I did, next one said German Wahler, that's the same stuff as Porsche. I was thinking oh great a freakin $100 thermostat. They didn't have any and said would probably have to go to the dealer or a place that works on jap an euro stuff. So I called the Jap/Euro car repair shop and they have to order it $20, whew. So now I am running without a thermostat for the time being. Anyone have opinions on brands of thermostats, if there are any differences.
