Well i have had the transkit sitting around since it first came out, so i thought im gonna have to buy a kit to go with it. And here is my story so far.

Fitted Kit, great fit. Nice panel lines all went smooth.
Chassis built and rims fitted, Aoshima Amistad V from Joeclaw..
5 coats of tamiya TS50 blue coated (still to be polished)
Focus WRC roof scoop added (nice and subtle)

Hope you like it so far, thanks to flyonthewall and Hiroboy for convincing me to paint it in the TS50, great colour in the flesh. Gonna get some Daytime pics in the morning so the blue will look better than it does.

enjoy, many more to follow

The roof scoop is a great touch. You're right, nice and subtle. I'm not feeling the rear wing, though. Not my style. Still, stylish model.

cheers for the comments guys, once the shell is polished im gonna paint the sills and put in the handles and badges which should make it look a little bit better.
i cant believe how well the roof scoop fits in with the style of the body, the front where it overhangs and the sides mimic the hood indentations and look like a reverse moulding if you know what i mean.

i got the decals a long time ago when i did a decal swap with Ales i think, i had a new set of focus wrc decals and swapped them for some tuner decals.

i also have a couple of other cars that are gonna pop up very soon, am working on three cars at once at the mo!

sorry dude my scanner is broken, plus i still gotta find where i put them, lol. im sure someone here has a few nismo logos on their computer. why not go to a tuner decal online store and copy their examples?

gonna make some more progress on all my models during the week as i have been doing all my christmas shopping this weekend and have one more trip today! then i dont have to worry at all! sweet.

also picked up myself two presents, those funky scooby doo mistery vans, they were half price so i bought two!! gonna convert one to a flat bed loader and the other is just gonna be funky!

Can't wait to see the mistery machines, I too have picked me up some presents, 4 actually, 4 2002 honda 8spoke 4lug rims in silver, excellent condition from salvage yard for my SR5, 200bux, just need tires.

also does anyone have a good way of getting tamiya rubbing compound out of cracks? its annoying the hell out of me using cocktail sticks!

jgmodelcars
12-03-2003, 12:28 PM
to get compound out of cracks use a soft dry paintbrush, or use a toothbrush (a soft one) hope this helps!

Great work on the Z cant' wait to see these cars completed and all nice and shiny and perfect! :iceslolan
