Ok, I cant figure this one out. I recently baught a 95.5 Rodeo. I do not know how to lock the tailgate via the silver release button. It did not come with an owners manual so I am at a loss. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

I was wondering if there were any tricks to it? I put the key in and try to turn it, nothing happend. It wont turn. I push the key and cylinder forward and it opend the hatch, and I still can not turn it. Perhaps it is the key or maybe the cylinder that has problem, who knows. This is why I am requesting intelligent responces. Thanks all...

Ah, ok. The key should turn to the passenger side. When I first got my Rodeo, it was a little tough to operate. Get some powder graphite lock lube. Comes in a little tube. That should loosen up the lock cylinder. :2cents:
